(Short Version)Hailed as “a pianist to watch” by New York Classical Review and “a dashing pianist” by The Sunday Times, Polish-Canadian pianist Daniel Vnukowski (pronounced Vnoo-koff’-skee) enjoys an international career as a concert pianist, broadcaster, and artistic director. He has performed throughout Europe, North and South America, and Asia, appearing with orchestras including Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, the Polish Radio Orchestra and The Orchestra Now. His performances range from major concert halls and outdoor concerts attracting thousands to intimate recitals in remote Canadian communities.
Vnukowski is the Founder, Artistic and Executive Director of the Collingwood Music Festival, which has grown into a vibrant multidisciplinary celebration of music and the performing arts in Southern Georgian Bay. Its 2026 season brought together more than 240 artists, alongside educational initiatives and community collaborations. He is also a familiar voice on Canadian classical radio, hosting Daniel’s Classical Jukebox every weekday and Sunday at the Piano on The New Classical FM.
A passionate advocate for rediscovering neglected musical treasures, Vnukowski has championed composers whose careers were disrupted by persecution and exile. His acclaimed performances of Karol Rathaus’s music included a sold-out Carnegie Hall recital debut and a recording for Toccata Classics. His innovative livestream performances have reached more than half a million viewers worldwide, reflecting his commitment to making classical music accessible to audiences everywhere.
